We’ve still got a couple of weeks of June to slog through. However, I needed a weekend project so here’s the latest chapter of “Life with Lucy”. In this ongoing series I post a video collage of pics and videos from the past half year.

This latest installment contains approximately 191 photos and 18 video clips and clocks in at 9 minutes and 46 seconds. Hmmm, not a bad use of time for a lazy Sunday!

The videos were called “Year One (pts 1 and 2)”, and yes, the title was lifted from the Batman comic. Now that Lucy has completed her Year 2, here’s a video based on pics taken from January – June of 2008. I’ll post a second video for July – December, 2008 soon.

I’m going through our old pics with the idea of making video collages for each year. I’m starting with 2007, our first year with the kid. This is the first of a two part ‘Year One’ vid. Going through these pics brings back  a bunch of memories. A few:

• Gma Susan providing so much love and support. I can still see her in that gliding chair we used to have, baby sleeping (and drooling) peacefully with her head on Gma’s shoulder.
• The kid’s Jean-Luc Picard/George Constanza-like hairdo.
• A very brief attempt at using a baby bottle.
• The kid learning how to sit up by herself.
• The kid recognizing the power of the remote.
• First teeth.
• Learning how to crawl.
• Books, books, books.
• Learning to stand.
• All the changes that can happen in a mere 12 months.
