Madame has a habit of gleefully putting chunks of food in my tea or beverage of the moment. I have to watch my teacup at all times! This morning when we were having hot chocolate she decided to garnish it with choc-covered raisins.
They rapidly sank past the whipped cream to plonk! in the bottom of the cup, melting, and upping the chocolate factor. It wasn’t bad, but it was very filling. A few raisins go a very long way.

So the morale of the (very thin) story is, if you happen to be dining at a café with madame, watch yer cups!

One of Lucy’s fave books at the moment is The Tiger Who Came to Tea by Judith Kerr (who also wrote the beloved Mog books).
Recently we snagged a tea set with the aforementioned tiger on it. Here are some pics of Lucy sharing tea with auntie; clearly she hasn’t mastered the finer points of dunking yet.

Oh, and in my quest for the teaset I discovered that there is actually a play based on this book.
Don’t know how they can stretch it out to an hour’s worth, unless there is a toddler on the side of the stage saying ‘again!’ everytime they get to the end…

Lucy gathered her friends together for a tea party, complete with musical accompaniment on her guitar and drum, dancing, and reading material for her guests.
