July - Dec, 2008

Every six months I try to put together a compilation pic showing how Lucy has changed over the previous half year. This is the fourth in the series, aka “#4, the hair and teeth cometh”.

It’s very strange; when I look at these pics it really hits me that this kid’s only been hanging around for 23 months. Sheesh, she wasn’t even around for the third season of Lost!” It seems like she’s been around forever (in a good way of course!)

Every six months or so, I put together a compilation pic showing how Lucy has changed over the previous half year. This is the third in the series.

Here are a couple of pics of the kid sitting in her mom’s chair. The top one is from March, 2007. The bottom one is from about 15 minutes ago.

I find these type of comparisons really fascinating. Can ya believe the kid has grown so much in just ten short months?! Even her fashion-sense has changed drastically.

"Oh, Daddy. Onesies are so 2007!"

She’s all about color now (her mom lets her pick out what she wants to wear each morning.) Her colorful getups always make me of think of stuff like H.R. Pufnstuf, Ganguro fashion, Puffy Amiyumi, and the early nineties pop band, Jellyfish.

Since we’re nearing the end of the year, I thought I’d post another batch of photos to illustrate how the kid has grown and changed over the last twelve months.

The first six pics (Jan – Jun) were originally published in a post entitled, Oy, They Grow Up Fast from June 8th, 2007.

Whenever i flip through our pics in iPhoto, I get a kick out of how much the kid has changed in the nearly five months she’s been loitering around the condo.

She’s literally more than double the size of the seven pounder we brought back from the hospital way back in January. She’s also a lot more vocal now, practicing her “UmmmUmmmUmmmUmmmUmmms” constantly, especially when her parents are trying to concentrate on something of utmost importance, like watching Battlestar Galactica.

My theory regarding her desire to talk? Through her daily observations she’s come to the realization that the sooner she gets this “talking stuff” down the sooner she’ll be able to send Daddy out to the supermarket for anything her heart desires—just like Mommy does. Oy, they grow up fast!
