Where Your Fries Come From
Here’s a collage of pics showing the prep work that goes into making a batch of fries for the girls and me (and no, we don’t have these all the time!)
I guess one could view this as a “how to” or educational post. Hmm, it must be all those old Schoolhouse Rock! cartoons we’ve been watching lately, they got me into a teachin’ mood. Anyway…
Up to this point, I think Lucy (and maybe Jill) may have thought of fries as something I conjure up by simply waving a hand and chanting a secret frying phrase. Nope, there’s a bit more work that goes into it than that, girls.
However, if you find this new knowledge to be a bit of a letdown (and boring) please feel free to ignore it. Instead, when I set out to make fries, think of me performing multiple sets of solitary high fives ala The Todd before singing the Schoolhouse Rock “Interjections!” song—with lots of interjections! Once I complete the correct number and sequence of high fives and interjections, crunchy and golden pommes frites magically appear. Yay!
*Yep, just as you thought all along.
(*”or as a comma when the feeling’s not as strong“—the Interjections! song)

thanks for the lesson! (this dosn’t mean we have to make our own now, does it?)
that ‘interjections!’ song has been running through my head all day too…that and ‘conjunction junction…what’s that function?…’
man, those tunes are catchy! how did kids ever learn their grammar without ‘em?!
Yep, I caught myslf humming “Lolly Lolly Lolly get your adverbs here”
