Easter Egg Hunt

Last week Lucy got to participate in her very first Easter Egg Hunt. Though she made a few rookie mistakes (the eggs go in the basket, kid), she did pretty well. Having her ever supportive Mom and assorted relatives close at hand helped a lot in that regard.
Seeing her eyes light up during her “Eureka!” moment, when she actually grasped the basic egg hunt concept of “finding stuff and putting it into a basket” was pretty cool. It was also neat watching her wobble around at her own (un)steady pace while her cousins whizzed this way and that, each clutching their own colorful bounty.
Unfortunately, we forgot to empty our camera’s memory card before going to the get-together, so the video and pics we got were very limited. However, the meager amount of pics we did manage to take have been posted here.

Enjoyed the Easter egg hunt—the grand children & g’grand children were having so much fun. Lucy was having a ball. Can’t hardly wait to see her next year. Bet she’ll find more than two.
Yep, she’ll be better next year when she has another year of walking under her belt.
