Of Forts and Forks

The place is a real mess right now. We’ve been boxing a lot of stuff, tossing out things we don’t need, giving away/selling various bits of this and that. We’re lucky we’ve so many ways to get rid of stuff we no longer need. The big three we’ve been using a lot lately:

  • eBay (yep, the old standby is still decent for selling smaller items)
  • Craigslist (for selling items locally for pickup, good for stuff that’s too big to ship)
  • SJ Freecycle (for giving away large items, like recliners, dressers, etc.)

Anyway, we’ve got a lot of cardboard lying around at the moment, so Lucy and I decided to put it to use and created a fort out of some of it. Though our end result wasn’t exactly rock-solid, it served its purpose: the pursuit of fun! If you watch the video, you’ll see that the fort fun ends quite abruptly when Lucy decides that forts are boring and that she’d rather be picked up by daddy. Personally, I could have spent more time w/ the fort, but what could I do? Your options are limited when confronted by a kid w/ a fork.
