3 Steps to Happiness
I half-joke w/ Jill that we have it easy right now. Whenever Lucy is in a foul mood, all we need to do is swing her in the air and say “BOUNCE! BOUNCE!” a few times. Immediately her tears disappear, her cheeks achieve maximum inflatitude, and a huge smile washes over her face.
Will we be able to assuage her bad moods as easily when she’s wearing all black, listening to old Siouxsie tunes, reading Sylvia Plath, and pondering why her clueless parental units “just don’t understand”? (You know, when she hits five?) The clueless dad in me kinda hopes so.

You’ll find something, Dad = and I sure hope she isn’t reading Plath at 5 = yikes!!! I think she’ll be into Hog Dogs by then!

I think you’re right about the ‘hog dogs’. I’m sure her mom will be indoctrinating her in all things ice cream as soon as she’s old enough to withstand a brainfreeze.
