Happy 1/2 Year Birthday!
The kid is six months old today, and oh what a six months it has been! It’s amazing how things can change so dramatically in such a short span of time. Thoughts, things, behaviors, and actions that were abstract and strange a mere half year ago are now commonplace, even humdrum in some cases.
Six months and one day ago:
Observer: “Did you know there’s a baby attached to you and she’s drooling quite profusely?”
Mike/Jill: “Huh? What? GET IT OFF ME! GET IT OFF ME! FOR THE LOVE OF PETE, GET IT OFF ME!”
Today:
Observer: “Hey, did you know there’s a baby attached to you, drooling with mucho gusto?”
Mike/Jill: “Hey, as long as we don’t have a ‘Code Red’ in the diaper dept, I’m OK.”
Yes, she’s only been around for a short amount of time, but we’re wondering how we ever got along without her (kind of like when we first got Tivo).
Happy 1/2 year birthday, Lucy, from the two mighty planets that constantly revolve around the shiny little sun.
